Patrick Nyamitali goes on probation for the first time at TPF6

Rwanda’s Patrick Nyamitali has, for the first time, been placed on probation at this year’s edition of Tusker Project Fame that is taking place in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

Nyamitali’s performance was the exact opposite of what the audience had been accustomed to, having avoided probation for the third week running. Judges noted his sudden dip in form, something that was repeated by controversial judge Ian Mbugua.

However, things got better for Phionah, who now moves back into the academy having been voted back in after spending a whole week on probation.

Singing Hallo by American diva Beyonce Knowles, Phionah pulled the strings, exuded confidence and left the judges with nothing more to say. If last week’s performance was anything to go by, Sunday’s would have been described as her best so far.

After last week’s Kenyan duo Amos and Josh stole the night becoming the first contestants to receive a standing ovation, this time round Burundi’s Hope usurped them to steal the show. The lively performer did let me love you by Ne-yo, and received the only standing ovation of the night.

After the show Patrick Nyamitali was joined by Nyambura from Kenya, Sitenda from Uganda and Bior from South Sudan on probation pending eviction on Saturday 9th November 2013.
